Eskom: No power cuts for Human Rights Day

Eskom has attributed the latest reprieve to lower demand anticipated over the public holiday until the weekend.

The rolling blackouts will be suspended countrywide on Thursday at 5am until further notice.

Spokesperson Daphne Mokoena: “A total of 3,850MW of generating capacity is planned to return to service by Monday evening. Eskom will communicate if any significant changes occur.”
