Fifa World Cup - Russia 2018

HT Sweden 0 – 0 South Korea #WorldCup

Halftime: Sweden 0-0 South Korea Peep peep! Another chance for Sweden. The ball was worked neatly across the field to Lustig, who curled a fine cross into the area. Claesson got between two defenders but mistimed his header onto the head of a Korean defender and over the bar.

Viktor Claesson

In the 43rd minute Sweden had an appeal for a penalty after a challenge from Ki on Toivonen. Again he got the ball; mind you, so did the Australian defender the other day. Moments before that, Berg mishit a shot across the face of goal from a tight angle. He created the half chance himself with a lovely piece of chest control, but the ball bounced up awkwardly before he was able to take the shot.

Berg had a chance for Sweden, who does brilliantly to bring a long ball down on his chest and work a shooting chance, but again his finish is poor. Ki then slides in on Toivonen, which prompts appeals for a Sweden penalty, but the referee says no. And replays show it was a perfect sliding tackle, taking the entire ball and then a whole lot of man after.

It’s a deadlock at the first half, waiting for the second half now.
