Currently, we are searching for an HR Officer for Johannesburg, South Africa.

Responsibilities of this Post:

Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
Prepare complete Manpower cost structure. Correction on contracts if required. Complete directory of Labour Contracts and Recruitment firms. Expat Data compilation.
Manage the implementation of Biometric attendance and salary processing software.
Prepare Employee Handbook-Separate for Expats, and Local employees, work out communication plan for policy communication to Labour Work Force. Prepare an induction manual for the new hires in staff and managers.
Prepare a Diagnostic report which summarises the current situation on Labour Compliance, Contracts Status, Current (actual) manpower numbers for each department, Creation of Salary Database. Work on sales recruitment.
Managing absenteeism, disciplinarians, grievances, sickness, etc. Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement.
Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
Establishing recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors.
Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state government requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

Requirements of this Post:

BSc/BA in business administration, social studies or relevant field; further training will be a plus.
Previous experience as HR officer, administrator or other HR position.
Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures.
Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.).
Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus. Apply Now
