A police officer who was shot at New Somerset Hospital in Cape Town on Saturday night has died.
This brings the death toll to three.
The officer was escorting a suspect when another man grabbed his gun and opened fire.
Two patients were killed on the scene.
The police officer died in hospital overnight.
