Holy water blessed sneakers priced at R43k sell out in record time

Sneakers supposedly blessed with holy water from the River Jordan have been selling out at a crazy R43 000 a pair – Apparently the shoes contain holy water fetched from the popular holy river in the sole –Nike Air Max 97s also come with drops of red ink on the trainer’s tongues, which symbolises the blood of Christ.

A number of pairs of R43k sneakers recently made it into the history books after being sold out in less than an hour. The trainers – dubbed Jesus Shoes (which come with holy water in the soles) were sold out minutes after they were made available for purchase.
the shoes are the brainchild of renowned Brooklyn-based designers who go by the name MSCHF.

Apparently the shoes contain holy water fetched from the popular River Jordan in the sole. According to reliable reports, the shoes were first blessed by a priest. Dubbed Nike Air Max 97s trainers, the shoes came with crucifixes placed on top of the laces on the right side. The unique shoes were officially launched on Tuesday, October 8, and were sold out barely hours after going live for sale.

While the trainers carry the Nike name, Nike does not have any affiliation with the product. The shoes entail a verse from the Bible on the side of the shoe; Matthew 14:25. Nike Air Max 97s also come with drops of red ink on the trainer’s tongue, which symbolises the blood of Christ. The biblical verse featured in the design references the act of Jesus Christ walking on water. Countless people expressed their astonishment over the creation with many wondering who the people were who splashed this huge amount on a pair of shoes. While the trainers promptly sold out, MSCHF promised its clients that new creations devised by the brand will be released online every fourth Tuesday of the month.
