Healthcare facilities gearing for fourth wave

Health Minister Joe Phaahla says healthcare facilities are already gearing up for a fourth COVID-19 wave. Phaahla says they are doing everything they can to ensure that it’s delayed and that when it does arrive, it has little impact.

“As we have repeated, a fourth wave is expected and as we can see in other countries, so our national team is preparing for the fourth wave,” the minister said.

“We are doing everything possible to make sure it is delayed and that when it comes it has far less impact.
COVID-19 numbers are ticking slowly upward again, with 365 new cases recorded on Thursday.
