Friday is expected to be the last day Hawks senior investigator Kobus Roelofse appears before the State Capture Inquiry after three days in the hot seat.
On Thursday he told the inquiry that some top brass in the SAPS and the NPA tried to shield former crime intelligence boss Richard Mdluli from prosecution
His testimony continues on Friday.

I’m happy everybody is here. Those were singer Thami Shobede’s last words to close friend Themba Humana on Monday – just two days before he died last week. Humana said Shobede was in high spirits and gave them hope that he will fully recover on the day before he slipped into a coma.
He said on Sunday, Shobede had asked for him to buy him lilies and he did. “He gave us hope that he will be fine. We brought him the flowers on Monday,” Humana recalled. Read more
