Western Cape coastal town Hangklip completely engulfed in smoke
The scenic coastal town of Hangklip in the Western Cape is completely engulfed in smoke.
A fire that’s been raging since Monday afternoon over the mountain above Pringle Bay, is threatening to move down near people’s homes again in the Overstrand town.
The blaze has already left a few people without homes, and cottages that housed others at a local hotel have also been destroyed by the fire.

Several fire trucks and law enforcement vehicles are moving closer to the mountain to help evacuate people.
At least two firefighting helicopters are hovering above the mountain to try and bring the blaze under control.
So far there have been no reports of injuries or deaths due to the fire.
However, there’s a sense of anxiousness among locals, as the fire rages on.
