After a 64-year wait, that was 45 minutes to forget for Wales. They were overrun by a young, aggressive US side, who lead deservedly through a terrific goal from Timothy Weah. It was made by Christian Pulisic, who has been the best player on the pitch.
Wales defended pretty well, the goal aside, but they were really disappointing in possession. Gareth Bale’s only notable contribution was receiving a slightly unfortunate yellow card.
