DJ Tira’s ride or die has been labeled many things but a 31-year-old is said to be not befitting. The media personality, Gugu Khathi, recently celebrated her birthday and what a ceremonious celebration it was.
Gugu Khathi celebrated her birthday on October 25 and she got spoiled with words from her husband DJ Tira. He said, “Happy Birthday love of my life. I’m truly blessed to have you in my life. When I think of all the good you bring in my life I thank God for you. May you enjoy today and may God protect you and protect our family. Happyyyyyyyy muntu wam.”
Several reports suggest that Gugu was indeed born on October 25, 1990 which makes 31-years-old.
Gugu had two celebrations. The first was on Friday, 29 October at Rockets in Bryanston where she celebrated with her best friend Brinnette Seopela, from the Real Housewives Of Johannesburg – and she too was celebrating her birthday. Shaking things up was Focalistic and Venom.
Then she got treated to a nice dinner where her family and friends were in attendance. She appreciated every one who wished her a blissful birthday. Gugu then posted a video where she shared the dinner party pictures. She said, “A Big Thank You to My Family and Friends who Celebrated My Special Day with me. Thank You from the Bottom of my heart I really appreciate you. To My Ride or Die. My Girls and My Sister in Law who came all the way to CPT. Here’s to Bigger and Better Days as we Walk this Journey called Life.

Gugu made headlines for apparently being a straat maat after she got caught repeatedly being involved in fights. The last time she got into a brawl was when her bestie Brinnette got into with cast mate Christall Kay. Sunday World reported that the fight took place at a club in Pretoria. The fight got too intense leading Gugu and Brinette to change into more comfortable shoes to allegedly fight Christall.
Christall told the publication that Gugu punched her in the eye, resulting in a black eye, even though she claims to have not confronted her in any way. Gugu just charged at her whilst enjoying her drinks “Gugu Khathi is the one who punched me in the eye, resulting in a black eye. She did this when I was sitting down and there was no threat to her,” Christall said.
Kay added that Gugu regrets beating her up, so she has decided to open charges against her, “I have evidence to prove this. She is scared over what she has done and is trying to make out a case against me. Charges are currently being laid against her.”
Gugu was shook when her “best friend” outed only her whereas she claims many other people fought her that night, “I can confirm the incident happened, but what shocks is that fact that out of all the people in the club, how can Christal choose my name, there were too many people in that club, why does she pick me, besties don’t do that to each other.”
