Guest House Manager
Client who is a 5 Star Rated Guest House based in the Northern Suburbs is in the market for a General Manager. This person will work closely with the Owners on a daily basis.
Requirements:

Grade 12.
·
Tertiary hotel management qualification.
·
Minimum of 4 years’ management / supervisory experience in a 4-5 Star Boutique Guesthouse or Boutique hotel
.

Knowledge and basic experience in
accounting and bookkeeping.
·
Willing to work shifts: Day and Night shift as well as weekends.
·
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
·
Own transport
Duties:
·
Manage all bookings/reservations via telephone, email, booking.com, Agoda etc.
·
Handle deposit payment and final settlements of Guest accounts.
·
Allocate payments from the bank statements.
·
Look after the wellbeing of the guests and guest requests.
·
Assist with the serving/hosting of breakfast and dinner.
·
Be able to handle check ins. and check outs.
·
Manage housekeeping and ordinary smooth running of the establishment.
·
Be able to market the Guesthouse to grow; telephonically, emails, organising and hosting of site inspections etc.
·
Ordering of stock (Housekeeping, kitchen and minibars etc.)
·
Managing of the petty cash.
·
Paying of salaries.
·
Must be good with social media (Facebook, twitter etc.)
