Job Description
Will be responsible for offloading the trucks and taking of sample from the
trucks, truck inspections and testing of lab samples as well as
housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Offloading the trucks and taking of sample from the trucks
- Truck Inspections
- Testing and taking the sample to the Lab
- Cleaning of Intake offloading area, clearing of chokes and Overflowing bins
- Cleaning of Intake machines and House keeping
- Assisting on the Repairing and maintaining of the Intake machines
- To ensure compliance with relevant Food Safety and Health Safety
- Operate and use required tools and equipment skilfully and safely.
- Perform heavy physical labour.
- Read, comprehend, and work from plans and SOP’s.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.
- Function in a team
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Work under pressure and independently
Qualification Requirements:
- Grade 12 Essential
Experience Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ experience in relevant trade
- Exposure and Mill knowledge will an advantage
Other Requirements:
- Required to work in hot and cold extreme weather conditions.
5 – day position and may be required to work overtime and unusual working hours (after hours) from time to time.
Key Outputs:
Maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
Health and safety hazards and precautionary measures to be observed and good communication skills.
