GENERAL WORKER AND CLEANER wanted immediately: Salary R4 505 per month
The general work and cleaner’s main responsibility is the cleaning of the facility and to assist with maintaining all aspects of safety, hygiene, and housekeeping rules and standards.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
– Reporting of all defects, breakdowns, deviations from procedure to the production supervisor
– Cleaning of all work areas and equipment
– Assist with the loading and off-loading of products, spares, material etc.
– Assist with the cleaning of spillages
– Is responsible for the cleaning of all pits
– Assist maintenance staff with maintenance
– Assist with breakdown repairs
– Forward any suggestions as to the general and or specific improvement of Beefcor to the relevant production supervisor
– Inspect and lubricate front end loader and complete the relevant recording sheet and handing it over the relevant production supervisor
– Clean and unblock silo’s
– Taking of samples and do moisture test to ensure product quality and report the results in writing to the production supervisor
– Operate the weighbridge for incoming and outgoing loads
– It may be required from to perform other work for which you are either qualified or capable of doing within the company from time to time
– Uphold the company image through respectable personal appearance and conduct at all times
– Ensure customer service standards are upheld and adhered to
– Wear all prescribe PPE
– To maintain safe working environments
– To take due care of company property and product
– To follow hygiene practices and standards at all times
– To adhere to all company rules, policies, procedures and core values
– Report faulty equipment to management
– Must be available to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and overtime as needed
Required skills and knowledge:
– Minimum requirement Grade 12 certificate
– 1 year proven working experience in a similar environment
– Some general plant maintenance experience will be advantageous
– English literacy
Required characteristics:
– Be able to follow orders and rules
– Must be able to work in a working environment that is dusty and noisy
– Must be able to carry heavy objects up to 50kg
– Must be able to perform tasks such as climbing, shoveling, lifting and standing for long periods of time

Working conditions (including but not limited to)
– Majority of work hours are spent inside the drying Plant
– Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
– Prolonged standing
– Push/pull actions
– Bend from the waist or bend legs
– Ability to tolerate varying temperatures
– Ability to tolerate varying noise levels
– Peripheral vision and depth perception.
– Increased noise levels may persist
– Exposure to hazardous equipment
– Are sometimes exposed to contaminants, such as cleaning solvents
