GENERAL ASSISTANT (SERVICES – YARD)
SA STEELWORKS
AIRPORT INDUSTRIA – CAPE TOWN
The SA Steelworks Services Yard requires committed, hardworking and motivated individuals to join their team. The successful applicants will be responsible for, but not limited to General Assistant functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Duties:
Bagging of different types of alloys
Housekeeping:
Ensuring the cleanliness of all workstations and areas surrounding them
Assisting the Manager / Supervisor with Ad hoc duties
Assist Operators if and when required
Adhere to health and safety regulations and instructions and advice the responsible person whenever there are risks identified
Variety of other physical labour work in our Services departments.
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE:
A minimum Grade 12 certificate
QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES:
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Able to work independently
- Willingness to work overtime and shifts as per operational requirements if and when required
- Ability to work under challenging physical and climatic conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to function efficiently in pressurized work situations
- In good health and physically fit
- Must be of sober habits
