
Police Minister Bheki Cele says police are making headway in solving the brutal murders of two women in Gauteng.
They’ve arrested a man suspected of killing the woman found under a tree in Dobsonville, Soweto.
He will be appearing in court on Monday.
“I’m very pleased that the police has arrested somebody,” Cele said.

Cele says police are also on the trail of Tshegofatso Pule’s suspected murderer.
“Unfortunately we haven’t picked up anybody but we know the name of the person we are chasing,” he said.
“We hope soon we will be announcing that we have arrested the person.”
The minister said society must work together to address the scourge of gender-based violence and femicide in the country.
