Gauteng online admissions opened for Grade 1 & 8 pupils

Online admissions for Grade 1 and 8 pupils in Gauteng are now open.

Education MEC Matome Chiloane says so far the portal is proving efficient.

He was in Winterveldt in Tshwane helping parents without internet access to apply.

Parents are advised to apply early to avoid disappointment.

Chiloane says early applications will help the department plan better.

He said parents risk not getting placed in preferred schools if they delay the process.

Chiloane said, “the purpose of applying early is to allow us to plan better, some areas are high in demand.”
