Suburbs in 3 Gauteng metros face water shortages

Residents of Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, and Tshwane will face water shortages.

It follows the explosion of three motors that run Rand Water’s pumps.

Pumping stations are currently running at just 55-percent of normal capacity.

The cause of the explosion is yet unknown and repairs are currently underway.

Details of affected suburbs will be communicated by municipalities.
