Gauteng: At 12H27 Sunday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting at a shopping center in Bedfordview.
Reports from the scene indicate that an armed robbery of a jewelry store had taken place.
Medics assessed the scene and found that one adult male believed to be a suspect had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was declared deceased on the scene after allegedly being shot by security services.
Another three patients believed to be members of the public who suffered minor medical emergencies requested to be transported by ambulance to hospital for an assessment.
Circumstances leading up to the shooting will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
