Six people have died of gastrointestinal infection in Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria.
In addition, the Health Department is warning the public of the outbreak of diarrhoeal disease.
Cases of cholera are also on the increase.
Four more cases were confirmed in Gauteng and seven in Vredefort and Parys in the Free State.
The provincial and district outbreak teams in both provinces are in the areas to investigate.
The department is urging the public to take extra precautionary measures and maintain proper hand-hygiene.

In other news – DJ Zinhle’s employee arrested for stealing
Africa’s number 1 female DJ and businesswoman DJ Zinhle has had another unfortunate encounter with an employee who’s allegedly stolen from her.
According to a police report seen by the publication, the Umlilo hitmaker caught an employee from her Era By DJ Zinhle store in Menlyn, Tshwane stealing from her. The employee is accused of stealing items worth R96 000. She was arrested on 12 January and appeared at the Pretoria Magistrates Court. Learn More
