Memorial and funeral service details of Peter Mashata announced

MC, DJ, and businessman Peter “Mashata” Mabuse’s memorial and funeral services have been announced. The DJ was shot and killed in a hail of bullets in Soshanguve, northwest of Pretoria, on Sunday, 21 April. He was returning from a gig at Epozini Lifestyle situated in the same township.

Mashata’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, 25 April. The service will take place at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Pretoria West Campus from 14:00 to 18:00.

A tribute concert will be held in the evening of the same day at Emperors Palace. The proceeds from the show — organised by Paul Mtirara, Wilson B Nkosi, DJ Young and Mashabela – are expected to be handed over to the Mabuse family.

Flowers can be dropped off at his family’s home in Block U, on Rina Street in Mabopane, from 14:00 to 17:00 on Saturday, 27 April. The soul music DJ’s funeral service will be held the following day at the Akasia Community Hall from 08:00.
