Uncle Waffles on her first official gig

Uncle Waffles talked about her first official gig during a recent interview with Nylon Magazine. The publication talked about Waffles’ fascinating sets, as it gets people dancing and in awe. The South African-based DJ whose real name is Lungelihle Zwane said her first official gig was huge.

“It was at a pub. I think there was maybe a hundred people, but it was huge for me because the only people I’d ever play for were people on my Instagram,” she said.

Speaking about the DJ, the mag wrote, “It’s impossible to go to an @unclewaffles_ show without dancing.
