The former Soweto scholar patrol guard who’d been accused of [email protected] and s-e-xually assaulting pupils says he contemplated suicide.

Johannes Molefe (58) has spent over a year in prison for crimes he’s now been acquitted of.

On Wednesday, he walked out of the Palm Ridge magistrate’s court a free man.

The judge said he had no choice but to let Molefe go amid claims that his alleged victims’ testimonies had been manipulated.

Molefe said, “I couldn’t believe it when the interpreter said I had been acquitted. My ears were buzzing.”

Molefe is fearing for his safety.

Some of the pupils’ parents have suggested they could take the law into their own hands.

Molefe has now found refuge in his sister’s home.

The man maintains he’s innocent.
