Former Amakhosi goalkeeper Arthur Bartman dies. Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Arthur Bartman has died. The 46-year-old made his Premier Soccer League debut in the 1998/99 season for African Wanderers.
Mariztburg United shared the news on their social media platforms late on Tuesday night that Bartman, who was the club’s goalkeeper coach, had died.
“The club has learnt with sadness of the passing of former goalkeeper coach, Arthur Bartman.
“Prayers and thoughts go out to the Bartman family during this time. You will always be a part of the Team of Choice,” the club said.
In a career that spanned over a decade and a half, he played for clubs including Bush Bucks, Moroka Swallows, SuperSport United, Chiefs and Golden Arrows.
Tributes have poured in for Bartman.
