The Labour Court has dismissed a case against Unisa brought by five of its former employees.
The Nehawu shop stewards were fired for disrupting graduation ceremonies during a wage strike in March.
Unisa says while it has nothing against Nehawu or any other union, it will not tolerate violent action.
It says it’s already met the union about the issue and will continue talks.
Meanwhile, Unisa says it has met salary increase demands and the matter is no longer in dispute.
The university intends to approach the CCMA to set the record straight.
