Forklift Driver Needed – Apply Now: Salary R5 230 a month.
Position
The main responsibility of the forklift driver is to move product, load pallets and boxes to the designated area. To load and off-load trucks.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
– Load and unload Trucks
– Move product, loaded pallets, boxes to designated area as needed
– Must bring meat and ingredients to keep the line flowing at all times
– Keep designated area clean of materials
Required skills and knowledge
– Minimum requirement Grade 10 certificate
– Preferred requirement Grade 12 certificate
– 1 year proven forklift driving experience
– English literacy (read and write)
– Must work effectively and efficiently
– English literacy
– Proficient ability to follow verbal and written instructions
– Computer literacy (Word and Excel)
– Knowledge of SAP system
Required characteristics
– Must be able/willing to work in cold conditions
– Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
– Be able to follow rules and orders
– Must be energetic and willing to learn
– This position is physically demanding as weights of up to 60kg is carried

Working conditions (including but not limited to)
– Majority of work hours are spent indoors
– Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
– Prolonged standing
– Lift and/or move up to 40kg, safely
– Push/pull actions
– Bend from the waist or bend legs to reach lower shelves/boxes
– Ability to tolerate varying temperatures (coolers/freezers)
– Ability to identify clearly bar codes, shelf tags, expiration dates, invoices
– Peripheral vision and depth perception.
– Increased noise levels may persist
– Exposure to hazardous equipment such as saws, cleavers, knifes, slicers and band saws
– Are sometimes exposed to contaminants, such as cleaning solvents
