Forest High School murder suspect granted bail

Muhammad Mawela, the 19-year-old Forest High School pupil who is accused of allegedly stabbing and killing another pupil has been granted bail.

Mawela is facing one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

He allegedly stabbed a fellow pupil to death at the school last week.

The Johannesburg Magistrate Court granted Mawela R5,000 bail.

Mawela has been ordered not to enter Forest High School until the trial is finalised.
