We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant in our Finance department – to join our ultra-luxury 5* resort, One&Only Cape Town.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for the overall accuracy of the processing of the general ledger and other related entries. This position will work closely with all departments within the property.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of fixed assets registers controls over and reporting of fixed assets, capital expenditure processes, and asset disposals.
Key role in daily and month-end accounting over various sub-processes
Assitants with financial reporting to Global head office and senior management
Analysis of monthly results and ad hoc assistances to Heads of Departments
Prepartion of the Annual Financial Statement and IFRS compliance
Responsible for Tax Reporting and Submissions
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual Stas SA and SARB Reports
Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary Qualification with Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and Taxation
Completed SAIPA/SAICA Articles
Membership of an accredited accounting body an advantage
Strong statutory financial accounting, reporting and tax knowledge
2 – 3 Years experience in Management of large fixed assets register
Advanced computer literacy
