ENVIRONMENT:

A logistics company in Johannesburg is looking for an Financial accountant to join their dynamic team. Using your high attention to detail and love for Financial accountant you will become a trusted asset to the entire team. Handle all financial related duties for the business.

DUTIES:

Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
Prepares state quarterly and annual statements by assembling data.
Complies with state and federal tax filing requirements by studying regulations; adhering to requirements; advising management on required actions; calculating quarterly estimated tax payments; assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filings.
Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
Provides financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendations.
Prepares special reports by studying variances; preparing budgets; developing forecasts.
Updates job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma certificate or higher
Min of 2-3 years’ experience in Finance
Good PC literacy
Experience in Finance will be an advantage
MS Office
Easy Clear (an advantage)
Technical knowledge, skills & abilities

Strong multi-tasking skills is a must to ensure various duties are performed accurately and on time
Some mild compulsive behavior would be an advantage
System and process oriented
Team Player
Great personality and sense of humour
Critical analytical thinking: using logic and reasoning to identify the urgency of certain tasks
Time management: ability to prioritize tasks, deliver quality work under pressure and manage their own time
Writing: ability to effectively communicate with external clients and internal team members
