We are in a growth phase and are looking to hire a Financial Assistant to perform accounting functions in the Finance Department.
Your function will include:
1. Loading payments on the bank system
2. Processing transactions and journals in Pastel
3. Invoicing clients
4. Performing reconciliations – debtors, creditors, and general ledger
5. Managing the petty cash
6. Preparing financial reports from Pastel Partner in Excel
7. Providing client service and feedback in a professional manner
Requirements:
1. Matric and a post-Matric accounting-related diploma/certificate/ degree
2. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a financial environment
3. Good communication and written and numeracy skills
4. The ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work accurately under pressure
5. The ability to work independently and within a team, with minimal supervision
6. Meticulous attention to detail
7. Computer literacy (Proficiency in Pastel Partner and Excel)
8. Problem-solving ability
