At 12H58 Monday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to reports of an industrial incident at a factory in Edendale Pietermaritzburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male worker sustained a serious laceration to his leg caused by a saw.
The patient was treated on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic and once stabilised was transported by Netcare 911 ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
