SA Lockdown: eThekwini likely to remain on level 5

KwaZulu Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala is worried about relaxing lockdown regulations as the number of infections and deaths in eThekwini rise. The district is likely to remain on level 5 lockdown. While most of South Africa will be entering level 4 of the lockdown on 1 May, the eThekwini district is likely to remain under stricter regulations.
At least 29 people have died of COVID-19 in the province, of which 25 are in eThekwini. The district also has 579 confirmed cases.
