Eskom says power cuts will be extended to Wednesday and Thursday from 5 pm until 5am on Friday.
It says this is due to shortage of generation capacity and continued delays to the return to service of units.
Eskom warns the public that any further deterioration to generation capacity, may require further power cuts.
South Africa is currently on Stage 2 load-shedding.
Stage 2 loadshedding will be extended to Wednesday and Thursday nights from 17:00 until 05:00 on Friday due to shortage of generation capacity and continued delays to the return to service
