Cosatu calls on Finance Minister to help relieve Eskom debt burden

Gauteng’s roads are falling apart. This is due to heavy rains that have been lashing the province and worsened by lapses in maintenance and rehabilitation projects across the province.

Troublesome roads mean even more stress for motorists who must grapple with heavy traffic amid worsening power cuts and rising fuel prices.

Gauteng’s transportation department has the plan to help municipalities fix their roads.

The plans, outlined by Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, will be the measure of whether the province can live up to residents’ expectations.

Some opposition parties say whatever plan is decided upon, it has to yield clear and visible results for motorists and road users.
