The SpaceX and Tesla founder has confirmed that after dating for three years, the couple has broken up, but will continue to co-parent their son, X Æ A-Xii Musk.
We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms. It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or travelling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room,” Musk told Page Six.
The couples time in a relationship has come full circle. They first announced romantic involvement at the Met Gala in 2018, where they were last seen together as a pair this year.
Although Grimes walked the red carpet alone at the event last month, she was allegedly joined by Musk inside the dinner and he also hosted an after-party at the private members only club. Grimes has previously emphasised her love of space and desire to get to Mars. Either the dream just became a lot harder, or Musk could get some extra space for himself by making his ex’s dreams come true.
