To provide electrical services to clients with regard to reactive repairs and planned maintenance on plant and equipment, within the service level requirements of the contract.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive site reports and provide all necessary information for the preparation of quotations. This includes providing details on parts required such as part numbers etc Undertake repairs and maintenance on client electrical installations in accordance with quotations submitted and work orders issued. Perform repairs servicing of emergency generators in accordance with requirements specified on work orders. Conduct all work safely and comply with all statutory regulations. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the management and staff.
Collaborate with suppliers, and contractors to ensure customer needs are met. Maintain stock levels and check stock levels as prescribed. To submit daily Vehicle mileage and inspection reports Site related documentation such as Work Orders, site reports and information required for quotations Purchase invoices for emergency stock procured Fuel Slips Perform overtime when necessary including working on weekends The position is to service client sites and hence will require travel to sites In emergency situations to procure parts and material from registered suppliers to complete emergency tasks using only credit facilities/cards provided.
Ensure the issued vehicle is properly maintained and looked after including: Maintained and kept in a clean and neat condition Serviced regularly Tyres are in good order Daily inspection lists are conducted Tools and equipment are well maintained and looked after. Regular inspections are conducted and equipment in poor condition is reported. Supervising activities of support personnel allocated for assistance such as General assistants.
Skills and Competencies:
5 years of maintenance service experience. Good knowledge of all electrical installations and repairs and maintenance thereof. Good servicing and repair knowledge of emergency generators. Basic repair knowledge of Airconditioning systems Basic repair knowledge of general plumbing fittings and fixtures Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act. Familiarity with safety, fire, and emergency procedures. Ability to produce comprehensive: Quotations Service reports.
Qualifications:
Matric NQF 5 in Electrical Engineering Electrical trade test certificate. Registered with the Department of Labour (DoL) to conduct verification and certification of the construction, testing, and inspection of electrical installations. (Wireman’s License) Registered as an Installation Electrician in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act No 85 of 1993 Electrical Installation Regulation 11(2).
