EFF salutes Mnangagwa for his national dialogue call

The Economic Freedom Fighters in Zimbabwe has applauded President Emmerson Mnangagwa for openly calling for a national dialogue.

This follows violent protests allegedly sponsored by the Western aligned Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

The southern African country experienced damage of property, looting of shops and assaulting of people not participating in NGOs driven violent protests.

However, the Zimbabwean President who cancelled his Davos trip to attend to the crisis in the country described the protests as violence and vandalism that had not place in the southern African country.

“We are accepting that there is a serious need for a national dialogue,” said EFF Zimbabwe, Commander-In-Chief, Innocent Ndibali.

President Mnangagwa

“We need less talk and more action. The president must bring everyone from across the country on the table and we must find a way forward collectively. We believe the president was sincere when he castigated those who perpetrated violence who include security forces and other people who are outside the security sector. All those who perpetrate violence must be dealt with as our president said. What is needed is for victims to be compensated. We need a serious national dialogue that will address all political challenges that enveloped our country which were even perpetrated by the administration of Robert Mugabe.”

EFF Zim also urged the president to include an inclusive approach for progress.

“We will also want to like advice the president that when he initiates the national dialogue he must treat all stakeholders equal. We do not need a “Big Brother” mentality always perpetrated by the MDC Alliance against other political parties which the brand as “smaller parties”. There is no small or bigger opposition party, the fact that we are all political parties’ means that we are in opposition together and equal, we only differ in ideologies.”

The EFF also called on the MDC Alliance to accept and respect the country’s president because he won the elections.

“Whether they like it or not ED is a legitimate president. He won the elections and he even managed to prove that he won the elections in the highest court in the land so MDC Alliance must stop its childish attitude of just opposing for the sake of seeking power. We need to develop and improve the country. Politics of power is over it is the time to fight for our economy to improve. We are tired of their nonsense of refusing to accept a defeat which they know is really, their attitude and behaviour is hurting the country’s economy.”
