Police Minister, Bheki Cele, is visiting the family of slain EFF councillor candidate, Michael Thulani Shangase.
Cele will also visit areas affected by political violence.
Shangase was shot dead on Sunday, in the KZN Midlands, on his return from a party meeting.
Police are investigating the motive for the killing.
Cele will receive a full report from the Task Team investigating politically-related cases.
