Those who target trucks and other facilities that benefit the country’s economy should face the full might of the law according to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Ramaphosa was responding to the six trucks that were destroyed on the N3, forcing the closure of the highway for most of the day on Sunday.
The president says he’s assigned a team to investigate the recent truck attacks.
He said, “I am concerned about these activities that take place that have a negative impact on our economy and it’s almost like economic sabotage. Burning six trucks on the main artery of our country in terms of the economy is concerning. The intelligence agencies are going to be giving me a report on that. It is not acceptable that trucks and facilities that are enhancing our economy are attacked.”
