One person left fighting for his life after driver travelling on the wrong side of the road slams head-on into bakkie
Gauteng: At 00H16 Sunday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on Skeen Boulevard in Bedfordview.
Reports indicate that the driver of a red light motor vehicle, traveling on the wrong side of the road, slammed into a bakkie traveling with the flow of traffic.
The driver of the car, an adult female, sustained moderate injuries and was treated on the scene before being transported to the hospital.
The driver of the bakkie, an adult male, sustained serious injuries in the head-on collision.
The bakkie driver was safely removed by the Netcare 911 specialized rescue team and handed over to emergency care practitioners.
Once stabilized, the patient was transported to the hospital for the continuation of care.
