A ninth person has been shot in Westbury, Johannesburg in the past 24 hours, and one of those was killed.
It comes after Fast Guns boss, Keenan Sheldon Ebrahim, was killed last Thursday.
Residents fear they may be caught in the crossfire of retaliation attacks.
They say there have been shootings almost every day and want more police deployed.
