The main purpose of the job:
To provide a reliable and courteous transportation service to staff and participants with safety and to operate and maintain assigned vehicle
Location:
PHRU – Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Soweto
Key performance areas:
Build trust between participants, the community, and the study staff
Understand the clinic environment
Build and maintain relationships with the clinic staff
Fuelling the vehicles Maintain a logbook for distance traveled and fuel consumption
Preparing accident and incident reports as necessary
Providing other services as requested by management when not engaged in transportation service
Required minimum education and training:
Matric
Code 10 PDP drivers’ license
Required minimum work experience:
At least two-year’s experience as a driver
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:
Sober habits
Ability to work overtime
Empathy and Understanding to patients
Ability to speak in local languages
