To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Providing safe, timely and correct parts deliveries to our e customers
Ensure that you adhere to the delivery standards stipulated on parts brochures
Maintaining professional attitude, conduct and appearance
Good working relations with customer by providing courteous, efficient and professional service
Adhere to all road / traffic regulations as prescribed by law and company car policy
Ensure that the delivery vehicle is always kept clean and that a full inspection of the vehicle, oil & water is checked daily before going on delivery
Check list of vehicle to be done every morning with parts receiving and dispatch
Drivers log book must be updated when going out on delivery and routine of delivery for each day must be written out on stores board
Check parts against invoices together with dispatch clerk and signatures and ticks must appear on invoices before going on delivery
Liaise with parts sales person on urgency of parts to plan delivery to customers
To sign and print name on invoice and drivers log book when receiving parts
For all cash sales please ensure that you receive cash from customers before delivery of parts
Ensure that all parts returned for credit must only be accepted if a copy of the invoice or a return
Ensure when doing deliveries that you report customer queries or remarks, to the attention of the Parts Manager.
Follow all safety regulations
Education and/or Experience
Matric or high school certification
Valid driver’s licence code 10
Must have a clean and good driving record
Previous experience in similar position
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of the automotive industry and technical awareness of motor vehicles
Excellent customer service skills and ability to build and manage relationships
Effective time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
Able to work on own initiative and under pressure
Broad Knowledge of road / traffic regulations
General computer skills
Must be prepared to work overtime when required
