RS Recruitment Services is assisting a company in the Fire Protection Industry based in Westmead, to recruit a Senior Draughtsman.

Key performance areas:

· Learn the preferred style of company drawings and implement them consistently

· Create general arrangement drawings as required

· Detail designs as required

· Work accurately

· Work to prescribed procedures for the department

· Be literate in ‘Inventor’ and ‘Office’ products

· Understand time-based targets and able to work positively towards achieving these

Remuneration:

· Market related (Dependant on qualification & experience)

· Plus, large company benefits after 3 months’ probation

autocad : 5 to 6 years
ms office : 5 to 6 years

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have/be the following

Matric/Grade 12 (with Mathematics – an advantage)
Tertiary qualification as a draughtsman – an advantage
At least 5 years’ experience as a draughtsman
Must be AutoCAD proficient – Will be tested (not just ‘Copy and Paste’)
ASIB (Automatic Sprinkler Inspection Bureau) knowledge/understanding essential
Experience in the construction/ Fire Prevention – an advantage
Sprinkler systems designing/drafting knowledge – an advantage
Able to produce accurate work
Good communication skills (fluent) in English with a good technical vocabulary.
This position reports to: Projects manager.
