The government in Eastern Cape is worried about increasing Covid-19 cases in the province with more than 23,658 confirmed positive cases.
The increasing number of COVID-19 cases following the relaxation of lockdown restrictions and opening of public spaces including schools has put immense pressure on resources.
The Eastern Cape HOD Dr. Thobile Mbengashe confirms that Covid-19 patients have been fighting each other for oxygen tanks and hospital beds.
Speaking to Stephen Grootes the Host of SAFM Sunrise on SAFM Radio, Dr. Mbengashe revealed that a fight for COVID-19 oxygen tanks broke out at an unnamed Covid-19 facility in the province.
