Drama as Police Officers fight Looters, Avoid Bree Taxi Rank – Video

There were chaos and drama in the Johannesburg CBD as police fight off looting protestors. What’s making the situation worse is the fact that the police are outnumbered by the protestors.

Like in the below video, for example, 3 Policemen with guns are seen trying to control a crowd of people who are looting from a shop. The video (thanks to Twitter) has live commentary and that makes the whole situation a bit fun but mind you there is nothing funny about what is happening in South Africa.

Watch the video below of how 3 policemen who are clearly outnumbered are trying to control the people who are looting.

In another related case, there is chaos at Bree Taxi rank as the shop owners are said to be fighting back the protestors. There was no police presence in the video but witnesses from the scene are saying there is chaos at Bree Taxi rank.

Watch the video and please avoid Bree Taxi Rank area and Joburg CBD as a whole.

We wonder if the Police will deploy more officers to try and control the situation. What we have also noted is that the protestors are breaking into any shop whether Foreign-Owned or Locally Owned. Clearly the situation has gone out of hand and we wonder what the Government and Police will do to get this matter under control. More to Follow.
