Donald’s Album Listening Party Cancelled After A Bomb Scare At The Venue

Afrosoul and RnB artist Donald Moatshe had been preparing for his album upcoming album star studded launch party but it has been sabotaged by a bomb scare.

Phil Mphela reports that Donald’s listening party was supposed to start at 18:30 pm but has been cancelled after everyone has been evacuated from the building. He confirmed that the muso is doing well and he was at the mall already when they heard of the bomb threat.

The mall posted on its social media account, “We have been approached with a threat and local authorities have requested that we evacuate the mall as of 4:50pm today, 21 October 2021. We will update you as soon as the mall is open and it is safe to re-enter. Thank you.”

Taking to his Twitter account Donald said despite the bomb threat, his album still drops at midnight. “God speaks in a different way and I always have to listen, Police came in evacuating everyone from The Rosebank mall and surrounding buildings, management had no choice but to cancel my Album Launch, #DreamsAlbum still drops at midnight, Let’s operate,” he tweeted.

We are glad that he is okay. Donald is one of the country’s most loved musicians. He rose to superstardom in 2010 after the released of his debut album, Know You Better and it catapulted his career to higher heights.

He went to release numerous hits including Crazy But Amazing, I deserve and others. On Twitter, the In Denial hit maker had to fight off claims once again that he is irrelevant in the industry and that his career has reached a dead end.

“But your career ended early 2000’s…” is some of the hurtful comments many have directed at the musician. This unnecessary comment was in response to a tweet by the muso when he claimed to be a one of a kind artist, cut from a different cloth than the rest of the musicians in the country.

“I knew very early in my career that I would be different from other artists, the way I move is very different. Most don’t get it in the beginning but they eventually respect it,” he claimed.

Donald tried to figure out what the troll was referring to saying he has definitely produced a lot of number 1 hits and hit last one was not so long ago. “My career only started in 2005, 2009 as a solo artist, only dropped my 1st No.1 in 2012 and my last No.1 was in 2018, my last Top 5 record was in 2019, so which Donald are you referring to?” he clapped back.
