DJ Zinhle ended her strong 2018 on an emphatic note after she was crowned as Africa’s top female DJ by DJane Mag, a publication that follows female DJs around the world.
The magazine regularly compiles a list of 100 DJanes (that word needs to stick!) around the world who are doing amazing things in their industry.
One thing we appreciated about their list is that it featured a strong number of entrants from Africa as well as the world.
DJs from South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya were all honoured but it was our girl Zinhle who came out on top in the end.
While we think the list contains a few notable absentees, we were extremely thrilled to see the woman from Dannhauser representing her city on a large scale. This is just the latest big win for DJ Zinhle this year, who also made her reality TV debut with a series titled It Takes a Village.
On top of all of that, Zinhle released a book too. Meeting Your Power was one of the most impactful releases by a local author and deals with overcoming challenges and dealing with life’s traumas.
