Description The Distribution Manager position encompasses the efficient and prompt delivery of all customer orders, exports and branch replenishments. Ensures the vehicle maintenance is up to date and all vehicles are roadworthy with the required licences and permits. Ensure that we comply with all traffic regulations and hazardous good requirements. Ensures that vehicles are not overloaded and packed according to the hazardous regulations. Management of all third party transporters. Control of transport costs and fuel management. Full vehicle and driver management using the c-track system. Ensuring that the competencies required are achieved by all staff and the administration of the department is kept up to date.

Distribution

All deliveries are performed with minimum hassle.

HazChem
All deliveries done comply with the road traffic act.
Exports
Purpose:
To ensure that all exports are delivered with the correct paperwork and in the quickest time.

Documentation
All export documentation is completed accurately and correctly according to set sales agreements and standards.
Transportation
The best possible transport is used for export products, and all documentation is received for VAT purposes.
Administration
Purpose:
To ensure that all documentation is accurate and correct, to support the financial team in this regard.

Inter Branch Transfers
On request, Branch Administrators receive correct IBT numbers and are advised on the transport to be used.
Quarterly Stock Take
Purpose:
To ensure that all stock takes are completed accurately and timeously.
Function: Critical Outcomes:
Cycle Counts
Cycle counts are done monthly to avoid major shortages at Stock Take time.
Stock Takes
The warehouse is packed correctly and all locations are clearly marked.
All Distribution staff are available to assist at stock takes.
Cycle counts are checked to ensure that all capturing is done accurately.
Any variances are investigated fully to ensure control of expenditure.
General
Purpose:
To maintain a high standard of one team one direction and service excellence.
