Suspects accused of vigilante attacks in Diepsloot are back in court.
Seven suspected criminals were burnt to death over a week ago as residents took the law into their own hands.
They say there have been forced into action due to inaction by police.
The state will oppose bail, which has angered some community members who are demanding their release.
Community members are expected to protest outside court as the bail application is heard.
