Season two of The Bachelor SA has not started yet and there is already drama
Rumours are swirling that Cape Town hunk Marc Buckner, who was unveiled as the new bachelor, is an actor! A source told TshisaLIVE that the model is not only a paid actor but has been dating fitness model Tanya Nadine Gill for nine months.
The pair were allegedly spotted at a recent Men’s Health menswear fashion show together.
The show revealed that Marc, who was described as “husband material”, was looking for “the one”.
But has he already found the one?
A spokesperson for M-Net has denied the claims, saying that Marc is 100% single
Head of publicity Lani Lombard told the publication that “people are just spreading rumours”.
She revealed that the 36-year-old multi-property owner is still friends with some of the women he dated in the past and just because he is spotted at an event with an ex does not mean that they are in a romantic relationship. As for Marc being a paid actor, Lani dismissed those claims as well.
She says that Marc does receive a stipend to cover some of his expenses while he works on The Bachelor SA “to allow him to take time off to focus on his quest for love”. Apparently this is standard international practice for all bachelors taking part in the show.

Luxury handbag designer Lana Marks has been appointed US ambassador to South Africa, the US embassy said on Friday.
Marks was born in South Africa and now lives in Palm Beach, Florida. She speaks Afrikaans and Xhosa, the White House has said. The US Senate confirmed her nomination, which President Donald Trump put forward last year. Read more
